Brian R. Torcato, MD MBA MRCP(UK) FAAP
I founded the practice in 2000 with the mission of providing the highest quality of medical care to the Philadelphia community and beyond. I am a Board Certified Pediatrician with postgraduate medical training in Pediatrics and Neonatology over a period of 9 years (1987 to 1996) on three continents.
I have been in practice for 29 years after completing my postgraduate training in 1996 at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.
As a U.S. Civil Surgeon for 17 years, I am very experienced in the immigration medical process.
As a practice, we are happy to serve and assist persons to meet the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) medical requirements.
I am also certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) as a Certified Medical Examiner to administer examinations for applicants for Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDLs).
I am Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 1996, am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1997, and also a Member (by examination) of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom of London, Edinburgh, and Glasgow (MRCP UK) since 1992.
I completed medical school (MBBS) at the University of Bombay, India (1981-1985) and received several academic distinctions while doing so. This was followed by an internship at the same institution in 1986.
I proceeded to do my first residency in Pediatrics (1987-1990) earning the post graduate medical degree of M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) in Pediatrics at the University of Bombay in 1990.
I also completed the following examinations:
Diploma in Child Health (DCH) (1989) and Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay (FCPS) in Pediatrics (1991).
Diplomate of the National Board of Examinations (DNBE) in Pediatrics at New Delhi, India (1991).
I proceeded with more residency training in Pediatrics and Neonatology at Doncaster and Bristol in England between 1992 to 1994. I also completed the examinations for the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) in 1992.
I completed my U.S. Pediatric residency at the Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia in 1996.
I also hold a MBA (Master of Business Administration) at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania - Class of 2013.
I also founded the Autism Telemedicine Company and the BrainKind portal.
In my spare time, I like to hang out with my family, read, listen to and play music, and
travel.
I am also an endurance runner and have completed several Philadelphia Marathons.

Mercy Torcato, CRNP MSN MBA
Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Pediatric Primary Care.
I have more than 30 years of Pediatric nursing experience of which almost 20 years were at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia caring for critically ill children and those with special needs.
I am a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a Masters degree in Nursing from the Gwynedd Mercy University in Gwynedd Valley, PA.
I also hold a Bachelors in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare Administration from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA.
I have hands-on experience working along with U.S. Civil Surgeon Dr. Brian Torcato in assessing applicants for the immigration medical process.
