If you are traveling to Vietnam: To avoid measles, take MMR vaccine. This is recommended for all travelers. All travelers should take routine vaccines such as diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine, and your yearly flu shot. Hepatitis A and typhoid vaccine are also recommended. Vaccines and medications for Japanese Encephalitis, Hepatitis B, malaria, and rabies are recommended for some travelers.
