https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/parents.html As of today (1/13/2021), there have been 101,582 total cases of COVID-19 in Philadelphia.
https://www.phila.gov/programs/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19/ As of today (1/13/2021), there have been 733,429 total cases since January 21, 2020. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#cases_totalcases Coronavirus vaccines have recently become available in the U.S. 2 types of vaccine are currently available: the Pfizer vaccine (for ages 16 years and up) and the Moderna vaccine (for age 18 years and up).
For best protection, it is recommended that the vaccine recipient takes two doses of the vaccine. It is recommended that you take the second shot 3-4 weeks after your first depending upon the vaccine you receive. The second dose of the Pfizer vaccine is recommended 3 weeks after the first and the second dose of the Moderna vaccine is recommended 4 weeks after the first. The distribution of the vaccine is occurring on a tiered basis that has been decided upon by the Federal Government. You may experience side effects from the vaccine. These side effects include pain and swelling in the arm, as well as fever, chills, tiredness, and headache. Essential workers, individuals with underlying medical conditions, and individuals aged 65 and over are strongly recommended to get vaccinated when vaccine becomes available. Currently, vaccine availability is limited. When it increases, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) will expand the groups of people recommended to get vaccinated. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/8-things.html https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations.html https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety.html https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations-process.html https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/expect/after.html Wear gloves (disposable or reusable) for routine cleaning and disinfection
Clean surfaces using soap and water, then use disinfectant Read owner's manual for instructions on how to clean your items Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds If possible, have anyone who is sick use a seperate bathroom Key times to clean hands
Routinely clean frequently touched surfaces, such as tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks. Also, vacuum your floors and carpets. Wearing gloves outside of certain instances (touching shopping cart, using ATM, etc.) will not always prevent you from getting COVID-19 and may still allow the spread of germs. It is still important to regularly wash (20 seconds with soap and water) and sanitize your hands (use sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol). Clean electronics with wipes (at least 70% alcohol) and dry surface thoroughly, or follow the manufacturer's instruction. Also consider putting a wipeable cover on your electronics.
