The fiancé(e) K-1 nonimmigrant visa is for the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) of a United States (U.S.) citizen.
The K-1 visa permits the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) to travel to the United States and marry his or her U.S. citizen sponsor within 90 days of arrival.
The foreign-citizen will then apply for adjustment of status to a permanent resident with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in the U.S.
A medical examination is required in your home country before the K-Visa is issued.
Vaccinations being recommended though optional in your home country.
However, vaccinations are required when you apply to adjust your status in the U.S. after your marriage.
Brian R. Torcato, MD is a USCIS designated U.S. Civil Surgeon and can assist you with vaccines, if needed, and completion of the I-693 form to adjust your status in the U.S.
In most cases, your I-693 will be completed in a single visit if you receive the required vaccinations at this office.
